  Never had a worse food experience, chicken club was shredded chicken in a wet Kaiser bun, portion was small, too long a wait for empty house, server was so kind, felt bad for her.she did her best to make up for the disappointing meal I walked out and told people entering, do not bother. glad they took the advice. I'd give no stars, but the waitress deserves one for her work.

  Embers used to be my favorite restaurant in Sydney. I came home from Saskatoon and was super excited to eat there. I have never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant in my life. First we ordered coffee and it came to the table with no cream. When I walked to the bar and asked for cream I was told there was none. No one came back to ask if we wanted something else to drink. My party ordered the macho platter. First the corn on the cob that was supposed to come with the meal wasn't there and instead was replaced with steamed carrots. The carrots were undercooked and had no seasoning whatsoever not even salt or pepper. The portions are tiny. Not even one third of the size they used to be. The portion of pulled pork was 2 forkfulls. None of the meat came with sauce. The chicken and pork used to both come with there own delicious sauces. They now are just dry completely unseasoned shredded meat. They didn't even fill my sauce cup up over 1/4 of the way. You could see the spatter where the bbq sauce ran out and instead of getting more they just said screw it and sent it out anyway. Long story short. We got coffee with no cream, cold dry, unseasoned food and tiny portions. The overall feeling I got from my meal at embers was one of a restaurant who has stopped caring. If you are considering going here I strongly suggest you reconsider. I will never go back after they served the single worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant.

  I don't know what happened to the Embers that I fell in love with, but this is definitely not it. Fries are undercooked, none of the meat has any flavour, the mac & cheese is bland, the service is not-so-friendly & no more daily specials (those soft tacos were DAMN good too!). It's less of the southern barbeque that I enjoyed and more of a watered down disasterpiece. Fix yourselves, Embers, or you're going to go up in flames.

  This was by far the worst food I have ever had!!!!! We order coffee and when it came they didn't think to tell us their was no cream only milk! When our food arrived it was literally a disaster, Carrots were raw and not seasoned! The mac and cheese was bland, no cheese was on it, it was absolutely flavorless and dry!! The pulled pork and brisket was also not seasoned and came with a tiny little bit of BBQ sauce out of a bottle. My boyfriends potatoes was hard as a brick, the onion ring were way over cooked!! The food was way over priced for such small, poorly cooked portions!!! The chef should have come out and apologized for this!!! The only good thing about this restaurant was the waitress!! Save to say I will absolutely not ever go there again. Such a disappointment!!!
